Here is a little window into my world. About this time of year, I start getting sick of the cold, my dry skin, and natural gas prices, and begin to look longingly forward to the warmth of spring. So here is a photo of a park nearby, to remind me of why I love winter. Who knows? Maybe it will inspire some poetry.
The picknick tables remind me of the part of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe when the animals are celebrating Christmas out of doors.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful picture.
Funny you say that, Angie, because when we went walking through the pine trees at this park, we joked that we were walking into Narnia from the wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteI just love the look of everything covered by a fresh blanket of snow ... untouched, not yet slushy, and so pristine! So gorgeous ... beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Kelly! The world looks so cozy with that cottony-looking blanket.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I like walking down at dodge park on the trail after (or during) a fresh snow. I like the quiet-ness of it as well.
ReplyDeleteWe have yet to take pictures this winter - no camera. Someone is giving Brianna one soon though :) She will really enjoy that.
With love in Christ,
Joanne
Beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteBut the dry skin, constantly being cold--I hear you!
Thanks for bringing the beauty to the foreground. I need the reminder, too.
